Using locally sourced talent, we present full-length traditional ballets and original dance productions, preserving historical ballet stories while offering a captivating and affordable experience for residents of the area.

For over four decades, the Indiana Ballet Theatre has established its presence in the northwest region of Indiana, with our resident company and school being located at several distinguished venuqes. Notably unique in the region, IBT has presented an impressive catalog of over nine full-length classical ballets, such as Thumbelina, Sleeping Beauty, Swan Lake, Nutcracker, Coppelia, Cinderella, Firebird, Gaite Parisienne, and Peter Pan, all under the direction of our esteemed Founder and Ballet Artistic Director, Gloria Tuohy, MDE.
Apart from our contributions to classical ballet, IBT plays a leading role in the modern dance arena, showcasing our exceptional talents in yearly productions for sold-out audiences. Thanks to the guidance of Modern/Contemporary Artistic Director, Amanda Tuohy CDE/DMT, the center’s talented dancers have performed an eclectic repertoire, including stunning exhibitions of hip-hop and tap.
