Our tap dance class is a beloved program, particularly adored by children, as it provides a wonderful platform for the development of rhythm, balance, and musicality. With a focus on artistic expression and movement, our class aims to nurture a strong understanding of basic tap dance techniques, while offering opportunities for creative exploration and of course, enjoyment.
Tap 3-4
6+ by teacher placement
Aspiring tap dancers are trained in a range of movements and tap techniques while emphasizing the mastery of fundamental steps crucial to the art of tap dancing. As they progress through the various levels offered at IBT, students are introduced to increasingly sophisticated and intricate steps and gain the ability to perform with confidence and artistry on stage.
Tap 5 and up
(10+ by teacher placement)
Our 5+ level class focuses on a carefully crafted series of exercises that emphasize the continued development of crucial attributes such as flexibility of the knee and ankles, precision in coordination, and speed of movement. Our primary objective is to cultivate proper tap techniques, emphasizing the importance of producing clear and distinct tap sounds.
Advanced Tap
by teacher placement, experience required
Advanced Tap program is dedicated to nurturing the artistic and technical abilities of its students while honing their precision and consistently perfecting their advanced musicality. As a testament to their training, IBT provides ample opportunities for Advanced Tap students to exhibit their skills through public performances. Additionally, these young artists are encouraged to share their expertise and exhibit leadership by working with younger dancers and contributing to the creative choreographic process.
