Company Performance / Choreography
Company performance classes aim to continue developing each student’s technique, flexibility, and strength—while deepening their emotional expression through movement in ballet, modern, contemporary, jazz, and tap choreography. Students are actively involved in the choreographic process and gain valuable experience in both performance and communication through outreach initiatives.
At IBT, we encourage collaboration. Non-company students in the IBT school are often invited to perform alongside company dancers, giving them the chance to grow in a professional setting and gain stage experience.
- Dancers in the Company perform year-round across Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland area. Opportunities include full-length classical ballets, modern and contemporary dance concerts, the annual Gala, and performances in partnership with local arts, nonprofit, and community organizations.
- IBT Company dancers also perform annually in Dance Chicago and have toured across Europe and Mexico, performing at international events such as the Grand Prix Italia and the Youth America Grand Prix.
